Lotta Stach, forza internzioanle la CCB Catanzaro: “Pronta a dare tutto per la squadra”

Un nuovo, importante tassello si aggiunge al roster della CCB Catanzaro per la prossima stagione. La società giallorossa ha ufficializzato l’ingaggio di Lotta Stach, guardia tiratrice tedesca classe 2002, pronta a vivere la sua prima avventura in Italia. Giocatrice di talento e personalità, Stach porta con sé un bagaglio di esperienza maturato nel basket tedesco – con quattro stagioni in prima divisione a Halle – e un’importante carriera nelle selezioni giovanili della Nazionale della Germania. Nella scorsa stagione ha giocato in Danimarca con il SISU Copenhagen, sempre nel massimo campionato. Ora, una nuova sfida in Calabria.

L’accoglienza è stata calorosa e Lotta Stach non nasconde l’entusiasmo. “Sono felicissima e contenta di essere qui”, ha dichiarato . “Questa è la mia prima esperienza in Italia, ovviamente a Catanzaro. Sono così entusiasta di incontrare tutti: le mie compagne di squadra, lo staff tecnico e tutte le persone”. Sul nuovo ambiente, la giocatrice si è preparata con attenzione: “Ho fatto tutte le mie ricerche, ho cercato tutto su Google. So che Catanzaro si trova nel sud Italia, che è bellissima ed è famosa per la sua natura meravigliosa, la costa, le spiagge e anche il cibo. Ho visto e letto che le persone sono super accoglienti, e posso già dire che finora è proprio così”.

Il cognome Stach, nel mondo dello sport, non è certo nuovo. La famiglia della 24enne guardia tedesca è un vero e proprio vivaio di talenti. Il padre Matthias Stach è un noto giornalista sportivo, mentre sua sorella Emma è anch’essa una cestista professionista, con esperienze in diversi Paesi e convocazioni in nazionale tedesca. Il fratello Anton – come già anticipato – gioca a calcio nel Leeds United in Premier League ed è un centrocampista della Nazionale tedesca. “È vero, la mia famiglia è tutta super sportiva”, conferma Lotta. “Mio padre ha giocato a calcio e a tennis a livelli molto alti. Mia madre giocava a pallamano. Mio fratello è un atleta professionista. Si può dire che siamo una famiglia decisamente sportiva”.

Sul proprio stile di gioco, la tedesca non ha dubbi: “Per me la squadra è sempre la cosa più importante. Sono una giocatrice molto orientata al gioco di squadra e darò sempre tutto ciò di cui la squadra ha bisogno. Personalmente, però, amo giocare in modo veloce e fisico. Amo dare il 100%, tutta l’energia che ho in campo, ma anche fuori”. Un profilo che promette di adattarsi bene alle ambizioni della CCB Catanzaro, reduce da una stagione che l’ha vista protagonista nel campionato di Serie B. L’arrivo di Stach, con la sua esperienza internazionale, rappresenta un valore aggiunto per il gruppo guidato da coach Chiarella.

Sulle aspettative per la nuova stagione, Lotta Stach è chiara: “Mi aspetto un’ottima stagione. Spero in un campionato duro e competitivo. Per me è fondamentale costruire qualcosa con la squadra, la chimica di gruppo, ma anche con lo staff tecnico. A livello personale, voglio continuare a migliorare. Sono felicissima. Non vedo l’ora di iniziare questa nuova avventura, con nuove sfide e, spero, tanti bei ricordi insieme. Forza Catanzaro!”. L’entusiasmo della giocatrice, unito al suo pedigree sportivo, fa ben sperare i tifosi giallorossi. A new, important piece has been added to the CCB Catanzaro roster for the upcoming season. The yellow-and-red club has officially announced the signing of Lotta Stach, a German shooting guard born in 2002, ready to experience her first adventure in Italy. A talented player with great personality, Stach brings with her a wealth of experience gained in German basketball – with four seasons in the top division at Halle – and a significant career with the German national youth teams. Last season she played in Denmark with SISU Copenhagen, also in the top league. Now, a new challenge in Calabria.

The welcome has been warm and Lotta Stach does not hide her enthusiasm. “I’m very happy and glad to be here,” she said. “This is my first experience in Italy, obviously in Catanzaro. I’m so excited to meet everyone: my teammates, the coaching staff, and all the people.” Regarding her new environment, the player did her homework: “I did all my research, I looked everything up on Google. I know that Catanzaro is in southern Italy, that it’s beautiful and famous for its wonderful nature, the coastline, the beaches, and also the food. I also saw and read that people are super welcoming, and I can already say that so far it’s exactly like that.”

The surname Stach is certainly not unknown in the world of sports. The family of the 24-year-old German guard is a true hotbed of talent. Her father Matthias Stach is a well-known sports journalist, while her sister Emma is also a professional basketball player, with experience in several countries and call-ups to the German national team. Her brother Anton – as mentioned – plays football for Leeds United in the Premier League and is a midfielder for the German national team. “It’s true, my family is all super sporty,” Lotta confirms. “My father played football and tennis at very high levels. My mother played handball. My brother is a professional athlete. You could say we’re a decidedly sporty family.”

On her playing style, the German has no doubts: “For me, the team is always the most important thing. I would say I’m a player very oriented toward team play and I will always give whatever the team needs. Personally, though, I love to play fast and physical. I love giving 100%, all the energy I have on the court, but also off it.” A profile that promises to fit well with the ambitions of CCB Catanzaro, coming off a season that saw them as protagonists in the Serie B championship. The arrival of Stach, with her international experience, represents an added value for the group led by coach Chiarella.

On expectations for the new season, Lotta Stach is clear: “I expect a great season. I hope for a tough and competitive championship. For me, it’s fundamental to build something with the team, group chemistry, but also with the coaching staff. On a personal level, I want to keep improving. I’m very happy. I can’t wait to start this new adventure, with new challenges and, I hope, many great memories together.
